MEIRA GROSSINGER
Meira Grossinger creates art that probes the pain, complexity and ephemeral nature of our lives, sometimes drawing on her own family history to do so.
Since 1997, she has moved gradually away from traditional materials such as clay and wood, to non-traditional discarded materials such as newsprint, used clothes, used furniture and other found objects that relate to her message.
Grossinger’s art is site-specific, while at the same time incorporating a variety of means – sound, changing lights, video clips, tactile elements and even aromas – in order to impact all our senses.
